The Little Salmon River House is located deep in the Salmon River Canyon. Just to the west is Hells Canyon, the Seven Devils and Snake River. To the north 4 miles is the legendary Salmon River “River of No Return” and the city of Riggins, Grangeville is 45 miles north of Riggins. To the south 30 miles is New Meadows and another 9 miles you’re in McCall to ski Brundage  - another 12.6 miles to Tamarack, the first new destination resort in the U.S.A. in 48 years. To the east is the largest wilderness area in the lower 48, the Frank Church Wilderness Area. Talk about a playground, its 360°.
