Big game abounds around Riggins and the Little Salmon House - mountain goat, Rocky Mountain big horn sheep, elk, deer and black & brown bear, along with cougar hunting.  Bird hunters enjoy large coveys of quail and chukkar in either the Snake or Salmon River drainages.  Bag your turkey either in the spring or fall as their gobble echoes through the canyon. Forest and big blue grouse also inhabit the canyons.  Kennels will soon be available at the Little Salmon House for your family hunting dog.  Always check current regulations through Idaho Department of Fish and Game.  Hunt with your rifle, shotgun, bow, binoculars, or camera.  Local outfitters can get you going in the right direction.
