Salmon fishing generally starts in May. You can usually fish for Steelhead, September through April.  Fishing for sturgeon, bass, catfish and trout is generally year round. You can truly enjoy world class fishing on the Main Salmon, Little Salmon, and Snake Rivers.  Check current fishing regulations from Idaho Department of Fish and Game for exact regulations.  Local outfitters can hook you up with either a jet boat trip or a drift boat trip.
